Muddy Fun To Come!

The Jan Dunn Keller Heels for Healing Committee is proud to host the Mudders against Domestic Violence 5 K Obstacle Course, a noncompetitive mud-filled event designed for women and men of all fitness levels ready for a solo and team play day!  The event will be held on July 26th at the best muddy area in these parts - Hog Waller Mud Bog!

This is not a timed event, so there is no pressure to best a certain time, only the incentive to complete the course to become a true “Mudder against Domestic Violence”. We promise lots of fun, adventure, team spirit and plenty of mud!

This event is our largest fundraiser in 2014, and will help us raise awareness about domestic violence and concentrate on prevention and education efforts.

Help us Stand Up – Step Up – Speak Up Against Bullying!

image001On December 10, 2013, with the help of local sponsors and the Putnam County School District, we hosted America’s #1 Requested Anti-Bullying School Program Champion of Choices Bullying Prevention Programs for Putnam County 5th and 6th graders. Founder, international speaker and former wrestling champion Marc Mero delivered a 90-minute spellbinding message to about 2,000 students, teachers and parents. Focusing on empowering people to make positive choices, Marc Mero’s presentation helps children tackle serious issues such as bullying, peer pressure, and suicide prevention in a way that touches listeners at a “heart level.”

The Champion of Choices program was so well received, we want to bring it back for all High School students in early September 2014.  Check out the “What Our Kids Say” page for responses we received from parents, teachers and our students.
